Munich Lab Band
Modern und progressiv – die beiden Komponisten und Gründer der Munich Lab Band Felix Ecke und Vincent Eberle verstehen es Tradition neu erklingen zu lassen. Mit großem Selbstverständnis vermischen sie Jazz mit Elementen von klassischer Musik und schaffen es damit, den Protagonisten auf der Bühne Freiraum zu musikalischer Entfaltung zu geben.
Mal pompös und überwältigend, dann wieder sanft, intim und zum Träumen einladend – kaum eine Facette der Musik bleibt im Repertoire der Band unangetastet. Ziel und Vision der Munich Lab Band ist es, den traditionellen Bigband Sound für den Popmusik verwöhnten Hörer zugänglich zu machen.

The Munich Lab Band wurde im Jahr 2019 von den beiden Münchner Komponisten und Jazztrompetern Felix Ecke und Vincent Eberle ins Leben gerufen.
Beide kennen sich schon seit ihrer gemeinsamen Zeit beim Landesjugendjazzorchester Bayern. Seit damals verbindet sie nicht nur die große Liebe zur Bigband Musik, sondern auch der Traum einer eigenen Bigband.
Der Name ist inspiriert durch die Lab Bands der University of Northern Texas, von welchen die im Jahr 1947 gegründete „One O’Clock Lab Band“ die älteste und mit sieben Grammy-Nominierungen die wohl bekannteste ist.
